Work in pharmaceutical distribution (not going to name the company). Here's what I can share about the current landscape:
Doses with best supply (June 2026):
- 2.5mg and 5mg: Fully stocked nationally
- 7.5mg and 10mg: Mostly available, occasional 1-2 week delays in some regions
Doses with constrained supply:
- 12.5mg: Intermittent availability, varies by distributor
- 15mg: Most constrained dose nationally
Why higher doses are harder to find:
1. Manufacturing complexity scales with dose
2. Lilly prioritized starter doses to onboard new patients
3. Demand at higher doses increased as the large cohort of early adopters titrated up
4. International demand (EU/UK approvals) is competing for manufacturing capacity
The two-injection workaround mentioned is actually being done by some practices, but check with your insurer first — some flag it as off-label dosing.
