Trying to work out whether my panel improved or merely rearranged itself, because two of the numbers went the wrong way.

The narrow version of the question is whether an unchanged LDL-C alongside a large triglyceride fall is a good result or a bad one, because ApoB and LDL-C seem to be telling different stories.

Tell me what I have not thought of.

Comprehensive lipid panel update relevant to the lipid panel:

MarkerBaseline6 Months12 MonthsReference
Total Cholesterol235220180<200
LDL170125100<100
HDL434662>40
Triglycerides255180120<150
LDL-P15351185935<1000

The triglyceride drop is the most impressive. My cardiologist reduced my statin dose based on these results.

Omega-3 index improvement on the lipid panel: often overlooked but my omega-3 index went from 3.8% to 7.8% over 11 months. I supplemented with 2g EPA+DHA daily.

This matters because omega-3s are anti-inflammatory and cardioprotective, complementing the GLP-1 benefits. Target omega-3 index is >8%. Combined with the triglyceride reduction from the medication, my lipid profile is the best it's been in decades.

This matches mine closely enough to be worth saying so out loud.

From the other side of the consultation, briefly.

Before/after bloodwork compilation for the lipid panel — everything in one place for those who want comprehensive data:

CategoryMarkerBeforeAfter 8moChange
MetabolicA1C8.6%5.4%⬇️ 1.8%
MetabolicFasting Glucose11885⬇️ 33
LipidsLDL156100⬇️ 48
LipidsTriglycerides228108⬇️ 98
InflammationhsCRP5.51.1⬇️ 6.0

Every single metabolic marker improved. This is why I'm a believer in this therapy.
