Gastroparesis symptoms with constipation: the delayed gastric emptying from GLP-1 agonists can cause early satiety, bloating, and feeling "full" for…

Acid reflux and constipation: I developed GERD symptoms around week 5 that I'd never had before. The delayed gastric emptying means food and acid sit in your stomach longer.

Management that works for me: elevate head of bed 6 inches, don't eat within 3 hours of lying down, avoid trigger foods (tomato, citrus, spicy, chocolate), and famotidine 20mg at bedtime. Much better now.

Heartburn management on constipation: Gaviscon before bed has been my savior.

This answered a question I did not know how to ask. Taking it to my next appointment.

Sulfur burps on constipation — the most underrated side effect nobody warned me about. 🤢 The smell is absolutely vile and comes on without warning.

What finally helped: eliminating eggs and cruciferous vegetables. Also, eating smaller portions and chewing thoroughly reduces the gas production.

If sulfur burps persist beyond 2-3 weeks, talk to your provider — it could indicate gastroparesis that needs medical attention.

Adding the numbers, since they settle part of this. If you are going to change something, change one thing and give it long enough to express itself. Four weeks is the usual minimum for anything pharmacological on this board, and two weeks of data has told you almost nothing.

Happy to go further on any of that.

Moderator note: good thread. Keeping it here rather than moving it, because the question is general enough to be useful. No action needed from anybody.
