Month 1, semaglutide 0.25mg
This month: 0 lbs

Yeah. A whole month and nothing. I know 0.25 is the starter dose and all that but it's hard not to feel like it's not working. I have my follow-up next week to go to 0.5. Is it normal to lose literally nothing on 0.25?

Completely normal. 0.25mg is genuinely a tolerability dose — it's below the therapeutic threshold for weight loss. Many people don't see meaningful appetite suppression until 1.0mg or higher. I lost 2 lbs in my first month and then 6 lbs in month 2 when I went to 0.5mg. The patience is brutal but the 0.25 step exists for a good reason (minimizing GI side effects).

Month 7, semaglutide 2.4mg
This month: -3 lbs

Definitely in the "slow and steady" phase now. Loss rate has gone from 7 lbs/month early on to about 3-4 lbs/month. But the body comp is shifting nicely — waist is down another inch even though the scale only moved 3 lbs. Lifting 4x/week and eating 170g protein. Will do a DEXA next month.

Month 10, tirzepatide 7.5mg
This month: -1 lb

Getting close to goal weight and the loss has really slowed. But I feel amazing. A1C went from 6.2 to 5.3. I fit into clothes I wore in college. My husband says I look like I did when we started dating (flattering but also mildly annoying lol). Not sure if I'll go below 150 or just transition to maintenance here.

Week 3, semaglutide 0.25mg
This month: -12 lbs

I know a lot of this is water weight but WOW. I haven't lost 12 lbs in a month doing anything, ever. The appetite suppression kicked in almost immediately for me. I went from eating 3,000+ calories to being full on 1,500 without even trying. Is this normal?? It almost feels too easy right now.
