Steady state is the thing most people miss.

Thank you — that is the clearest version of this I have read, and I have read a lot of them.

From the other side of the consultation, briefly.

Storage question about storage and cold: my pen was left out of the fridge for 8 hours. Is it still good?

Per the manufacturer, both Ozempic and Wegovy pens can be stored at room temp (up to 86°F) for up to 28 days after first use. So yes, it should be fine as long as it wasn't exposed to extreme heat.

Albumin binding above 99% is the whole reason weekly dosing works, and it is also why the trough matters more than the peak.

I will push back on the "any working dose is fine" framing. The maintenance evidence sits overwhelmingly at the top studied dose, and the extension data shows regain tracking dose reduction rather than tracking stopping. Holding low is reasonable; pretending it is evidentially equivalent is not.

Worth separating that from semaglutide, which this thread keeps folding into the same question. They behave differently and the advice does not transfer.

The distinction that matters is unopened versus in use.

Cold chain shipping for storage and cold: my last order arrived with the cold pack completely melted and the vial at room temperature. I contacted the vendor and they reshipped with better insulation.

What to look for in shipping: temperature monitoring strip inside package. If your peptide arrives warm, contact the vendor immediately. Don't assume it's still good.

Moderator note: good thread. Keeping it here rather than moving it, because the question is general enough to be useful. Thread quality here is what the rules are for. Keep it up.
