I have used three payment routes and the only thing that changed with each was how much leverage I had when something went wrong.

The question I want answered is how people are thinking about the trade-off between reversibility and privacy, because you cannot have both.

Tell me what I have not thought of.

Taking the question as asked, rather than the general version of it. It is worth asking what the claim would look like if it were false. If nothing would look different, it is not a claim about the world and no amount of discussion will settle it.

No disagreement, though the timescale matters more than the mechanism here. Most of what looks like a difference in kind turns out to be a difference in how long somebody waited.

This matches mine closely enough to be worth saying so out loud. The detail I would add is minor and it is already implied above.

From the other side of the consultation, briefly. Start from the measurement rather than the conclusion. Almost every disagreement here turns out to be two people measuring different things and comparing the numbers anyway.
