A sustained drop to 1,100 or 1,200 calories reliably under-delivers a predictable set: B12, vitamin D, iron, folate, zinc and magnesium.

This is where I part company with the consensus forming above. Filing an objection on the n=1 problem. Personal experience is genuine evidence about one person and very weak evidence about anybody else, and this thread keeps promoting the first into the second.

Adding the numbers, since they settle part of this. Cheap and worth having: ferritin, B12, vitamin D. Everything else on the deficiency list is adequately covered by a standard multivitamin at ordinary doses.

There is a second half to this that has not been said yet. It helps to say which part of this you are uncertain about. A precise question gets a precise answer; a general one gets everybody’s favourite anecdote.

Worth separating that from micronutrient cover, which this thread keeps folding into the same question. They behave differently and the advice does not transfer.

One thing that is still open after GenomicsKate’s answer:

Which deficiencies actually show up when intake drops this far, and which are worth testing rather than supplementing blind?

OP back with an update, since a thread like this is useless without one.

Closing the loop. The answer turned out to depend on the detail I had left out of the opening post, which is a lesson about how to ask rather than about the subject.
