Not a dumb question at all. For reconstitution (adding BAC water): Yes, use a larger syringe. 3mL or 5mL with an 18ga blunt tip needle works great. Draw up the BAC water, insert into vial, push slowly. For injection: - If your dose is ≤50 units (0.5mL): use a 0.5mL syringe — the markings are spaced wider so it's more accurate - If your dose is >50 units: use a 1mL syringe 29ga or 31ga needle, 1/2 inch, subcutaneous. You'll barely feel it.

Pharmacy tech chiming in — a few things people get wrong: 1. BAC water vs sterile water: BAC water (bacteriostatic, contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol) for multi-use vials. Sterile water for single use ONLY — no preservative means bacteria can grow. 2. Don't use saline. Bacteriostatic saline changes the osmolarity and can affect peptide stability. 3. Draw technique matters: After inserting needle into vial, push the BAC water in, then before withdrawing, pull back slightly to equalize pressure. This prevents loss of peptide solution. 4. Storage: Reconstituted tirz is stable for 28 days refrigerated (36-46°F / 2-8°C). Don't freeze it, don't leave it at room temp.

I made a quick reference I keep taped to my fridge: ``` MY VIAL: 60mg tirz BAC WATER ADDED: 6mL CONCENTRATION: 10mg/mL DOSE CHART: 2.5mg = 25 units 5.0mg = 50 units ← current dose 7.5mg = 75 units 10mg = 100 units (full syringe) ``` Having it written out means I never have to do math at 6am before coffee ☕

That's smart. I also recommend marking your syringe with a sharpie at your current dose line if you're worried about pulling the wrong amount. Better safe than sorry. One more thing I should've mentioned: air bubbles. Small bubbles in a subQ injection won't kill you (this isn't IV) but they DO displace volume, meaning you get less medication. Flick them out.

Update: re-did my reconstitution properly this time. 60mg vial + 6mL BAC water = 10mg/mL. Drawing 50 units for my 5mg dose. Side effects are SO much more manageable now that I'm not accidentally taking 10mg 🤦‍♀️ Seriously, pin this thread.
