Compounding pharmacy dose accuracy check for dosing arithmetic: I always verify my first dose from a new vial by weighing it on a milligram scale.

Comparison of compounded dosing arithmetic delivery formats I've tried:

FormatProsCons
Lyophilized vialLongest shelf life, lowest costRequires reconstitution
Pre-mixed vialReady to draw upShorter shelf life (28-45 days)
Pre-filled syringesMost convenientHigher cost, shorter shelf life
Sublingual dropsNo needlesLower bioavailability, less data

I use lyophilized vials for cost and stability. The reconstitution takes 30 seconds once you've done it a few times.

Right, and one flattering data point from a group buy is not consistency. Consistency means separate batches, separately commissioned, over months.

Happy to go further on any of that.

This answered a question I did not know how to ask. Printing the relevant bit and taking it with me.

From the other side of the consultation, briefly.

Just received my dosing arithmetic order — packaging review:

  • Outer box: plain brown, no medication identifiers (discreet) ✅
  • Inner insulation: Styrofoam with 3 gel ice packs ✅
  • Temperature: vials were cold to touch on arrival ✅
  • Labeling: lot number, BUD, compound name, concentration ✅
  • Included: COA, reconstitution instructions, dosing card ✅

This is what professional compounding pharmacy shipping looks like. If your order arrives without these basics, reconsider your vendor.

Same experience, arrived at from the opposite direction.
