From the other side of the consultation, briefly. It helps to say which part of this you are uncertain about. A precise question gets a precise answer; a general one gets everybody’s favourite anecdote.

That is the short version; the long version is somebody else's post.

Same experience, arrived at from the opposite direction.

Coming at Dr.PainCLE’s question from a different direction. Reduced interest in alcohol is one of the most consistently reported off-target effects, and the mechanism is plausibly the same reward-salience pathway that quiets food noise. The practical part people get wrong is that tolerance changes: less food in the stomach, faster gastric emptying of liquid relative to solids, and a smaller body mean the same two drinks land considerably harder than they used to.

Worth separating that from alcohol, which this thread keeps folding into the same question. They behave differently and the advice does not transfer.

The figures, for anyone assembling their own picture. One habit that pays for itself: post the method alongside the number. A figure without its method cannot be checked, and an unchecked figure is how this community accumulates folklore.

Following on from Dr.PainCLE — and this may be the naive question:

Whether the change in tolerance is the smaller stomach, the smaller body, or something central, and whether it settles?
